Founded in 1986, the Department of Informatics Engineering aims to produce highly professional and independent graduates who keep abreast of developments in science and information technology in order to meet the demands of society and industry.
The Department of Informatics Engineering offers excellent integration of technical knowledge, theories and practical expertise in software and hardware, programming, computer networking, artificial intelligence, digital image processing, embedded system, and current robotics technologies.
The foundation of this department is the dynamic nature of information technology. The Department of Informatics Engineering accommodates input and feedback of the industrial sectors and IT based industries. During the academic process students learn to work in teams to solve IT-issues and to prepare them to meet the demands of the job market.

The graduates of the Informatics Engineering Department are expected to demonstrate competence in developing and applying information technology in order to support them in job competition. They can adaptively respond to information technology developments based on the norms and ethics of their profession. Other supporting potentials are also trained, such as managerial skill, programming skill, analytical skill, designing skill, implementing network skill, and knowledge development.
