Short Description
The Faculty of Theology UKDW (F.Teo. UKDW) bases itself on the local community, i.e. Indonesian. However, in the era of globalization the Faculty of Theology will develop a more internationally-based context by building contextual Theology. The experience of the Faculty of Theology in administering undergraduate program since 1962 contributes to the strength of this faculty to produce excellent and contextual Theology graduates.

Visi, Misi, dan Tujuan
Vision
To be a center of theological education at undergraduate level for the learning and development of ecumenical, evangelical and contextual Indonesian Christian theology, prominent in Asia and accountable in the global academic theological sphere
Mission
The mission of the Theology Faculty is
- Administering the teaching and researches in theology that enable students to:
- understand biblical texts and contexts of history as well as actual life of the church and society
- interact critically, inovatively and constructively the texts and contexts in order to develop theological insights rooting in the situation of Indonesian society
- participate in church ministry and leadership as well as societal life at large
- Carrying out community service, especially in the forms of companionship and empowerment of religious communities, educational institutions and civil society in order to participate positively in the common life of the plural Indonesian society.
Graduate Competence
The students of the Theology Faculty are expected to be able to
- Knowledge and Understanding
- Know and understand the history of the canonization of the Bible .
- Know and understand the hermeneutical method.
- Know and understand the traditional and multidimensional context of Indonesia.
- Know and understand the history of Christianity and constructive church Theology.
- Intellectual Skill
- Master the native languages of the Bible and the various interpretations of the genres of the Bible.
- Master the methods in contextual theology
- Master the methods in Christian Social Ethics
- Master practical Theology.
- Practical Skill
- Testify with the Words of God in any situation.
- Educate the Church based on Christianity.
- Serve personally and communally in pastoral manner
- Innovate and re-interpret Christian liturgy.
- Develop social services of the Church.
- Be a mediator in any community conflict.

Activities
- Students of Theology are obliged to join Tuesday service followed by a Theological Discussion. The discussion functions as a means of guiding the students.
- Students of semesters 1-4 are required to stay at the dormitory. They are learning how to manage their studies, self and spirituality.
- Students practice by managing seminars on Theology.
