Institution Quality Assurance Duta Wacana
Description
InQA is the acronym for ‘Institution Quality Assurance’, pronounced as and inspired by the INCA, whose sophisticated civilization was shown in their environmentally-conscious and complicated system of internal organization and management. Inaugurated on October 31, 2005—the 43rd Anniversary of Duta Wacana Christian University, this office reflects the commitment of the university to continuous internal quality improvement in providing education.
Function
InQA reports to Rector and is responsible for taking the lead in:
- Accountability—Providing institutional accountability to various stakeholders such as students and their parents, as well as to the government to guarantee their satisfaction.
- Continuous Quality Improvement—Monitoring and evaluating the process of delivering education to ensure the quality of the university graduates.
- External Recognition—Stiving for the recognition of regional, national, and international accrediting bodies.
- Closely Assisting Leaders—Providing standards, information, and evaluations to improve the quality of the decision-making process made by the leaders.
InQA, as an independent supporting unit in the University, coordinates the work of 10 Quality Assurance Teams, each of which is in charge of the above fuction in every department. It is also supported by 37 Internal Auditors in implementing the biennial Academic Quality Audit.
