As the new coronavirus or COVID-19 continues to spread globally and now has reached Indonesia (with confirmed cases found in this country), the Rector of UKDW Dr. Henry Feriadi has issued a letter concerning COVID-19 prevention at UKDW.

Rector asked students, faculty, and staff to take care of their health, keep their work and study environment clean, and frequently wash hands with soap after activities.

“Wear a face mask if you are sick and avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms. Those who are experiencing cough and fever with more than 37,3°C, must seek medical care immediately,” he said.

Rector said that to take measures on this issue, UKDW urges students, faculty, and staff to refrain from traveling abroad, especially to the countries or regions contracted by COVID-19. Likewise, events such as seminars, conferences, and workshops that involve participants from other countries were also advised to be postponed until the outbreak calms down.

Students, faculty, and staff are also asked to keep updated to the latest development regarding COVID-19 from trusted media and do not spread information which is indicated as HOAX.
