Responding to the latest development of coronavirus cases in Indonesia and in line with the circular letters issued by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Culture concerning coronavirus prevention, the Rector of UKDW has issued Circular Letter No. 005/C.12/UKDW/2020 about preventive measure of COVID-19 at UKDW.

On Saturday, 14 March 2020, Dr. Henry Feriadi as UKDW Rector instructed all teaching-learning activities including the midterm test to be conducted online, starting from Monday, 16 March 2020 until Saturday, April 11, 2020. This policy enables students to continue learning without physically present on campus. “Head of faculties and departments will further arrange the implementation of online classes and midterm test. For the Faculty of Medicine, the teaching-learning activities, in particular, will be regulated by the dean,” the Rector stated.

Moreover, Rector also calls lecturers, educational staff, and students to stay at home (self-isolation) if feeling unwell or showing flu-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, and runny nose.

Rector also asks all lecturers, education staff, and students of UKDW to cancel or postpone academic and non-academic events that involve many people. Academic community members of UKDW are also urged to suspend travel abroad and to other cities, except for urgent matters.

Internship programs are also suspended and rescheduled or changed to other learning methods. “Internship programs that are unable to be rescheduled or changed to other methods must be carried out with utmost vigilance to prevent the COVID-19 transmission,” the Rector said.

Other of the above mentioned, UKDW will carry out regular activities with the utmost care in a clean and healthy lifestyle in the working and learning environment. This policy is taken as UKDW commitment to make sure the safety and health of all members of the academic community of UKDW and taking part in the effort of containing the spread of COVID-19.
