The current COVID-19 pandemic has forced various routine at Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW) Yogyakarta to be conducted online to follow the physical distancing policy. Thus, the anniversary of the Faculty of Architecture and Design (FAD) this time was celebrated online via video conference.
The 10th anniversary of FAD UKDW on May 10, 2020, was the celebration of the four departments under this faculty: 35-year Architecture Department, 15-year Product Design Department, 5-year Master of Architecture, and 2-year Professional Program for Architect (PPAr).
This online celebration was attended by the Rector of UKDW, lecturers, staff, students, as well as alumni of FAD.
“Building the Spirit of Togetherness as Family” was the theme of the anniversary service. The service was led by Rev. Nani Minarni, S.Si., M.Hum who is currently serving as the university chaplain.
Ferdy Sabono, S.T., M.Sc., the Vice Dean for Student, Alumni Affairs, and Partnerships of FAD hoped that this year’s anniversary of FAD will bring stronger solidarity so that FAD can give real contributions to the society and the country.
As part of the anniversary celebration of FAD, Sambung Rasa Bersama Alumni – an alumni talk event – was also conducted on May 8, 2020, for the Architecture and Master of Architecture Department, and May 9, 2020, for the Product Design Department. (Source: FAD/FS)
